Reading, Third Place Bookstore, Seattle - Feb 20
Mar Ka will be introduced by former Poet Laureate of Washington, Kathleen Flenniken, who will also read a few new poems of her own.

Featured Poet, Anchorage Poetry Parley - March 20
Mar Ka will read from her just released book Be-hooved, and also new poems. She will honor the influence of the work of Polish poet Wisława Szymborska, winner of the 1996 Nobel Prize for Literature.

AWP Conference March 27-30
The Association of Writers and Writing Programs Conference will be in Portland, OR, this year. Mar Ka will be selling and signing books at the IAIA (Institute of American Indian Arts) table from 11a-12p on Thursday, and at the Cirque Journal table on Friday from 11a to 1p. Books will be available at both tables over the course of the conference.
